CELL-027
CELL, eliminate all hostile entities.
You are a tiny robot named CELL-027. You must explore an unfamiliar world, ridding it of all contamination. All the while, making your way towards the CENTRAL ORGAN… will what you find be broken beyond repair?
Controls
This game uses a mouse-based control scheme. Click any point on your screen to shoot an enemy-killing biograpple.
Created by me, VirtuaVirtue, and TroubledKarma56.
Music (primarily) by me.
This is my second game developed with VirtuaVirtue. TroubledKarma was in the mix too, which was good for some art or to be the tiebreaker between me and Virtua's passionate arguments. This game was also made for the Cre8 game jam, hosted by Pico-8 Gamer and Sign. Definitely check that out!
The mechanics went through a lot of fine-tuning in the start. At first, you could shoot multiple grapples, and they were more like webs. They would suspend you between the strands that you shoot, so the more you shot, the more stable you would be, almost like a real spider's web! But, both Virtua and I agreed that this wouldn't really make sense for the game, so we didn't use it.
Also, we had planned to make a lot more for this game, but we were of course cut short by the deadline. If you poke around, you might even find some unused ambient music...
Hope you enjoy!
